Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

Homeriah (“we”) is a family archive product. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

Account info: email, display name, avatar, and how you sign in (code, password, Google, WeChat). Page content: photos, written stories, family relationships, and journal (“Kokoro-Ana”) entries you choose to add -- all of this is content you upload yourself. Payment info: when you subscribe or donate, card details are handled by Stripe and WeChat Pay payment details by WeChat Pay -- our own servers never see or store your card number or payment password. Usage data: view counts on public pages (via a 24-hour cookie that prevents double-counting) and how often you use AI features. Visit logs: to measure traffic and spot unusual activity, our server logs the path, time, referring page, browser info, approximate location, and IP address for each page visit -- visible only to the site admin, and not used for anything else.

How we use it

To provide the service itself (showing your pages, family tree, notifications, etc.), to process payments, to send a photo or text to an AI service for a description or biography draft only when you click “AI assist” yourself, and to send in-app notifications for important dates or subscription changes. We don't use your personal information for anything unrelated to Homeriah, and we don't sell it to third parties.

Third-party services we use

Supabase (database, sign-in, file storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (international card payments), WeChat Pay (RMB payments), Google (Google sign-in), and Anthropic (AI-assisted descriptions and biographies -- a photo or text is only sent to it when you actively use that feature). Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and only processes what's needed to provide their part of the service.

Private vs. public

Every page starts private -- only people you invite can see it. You can choose to make a page public at any time -- once public, anyone with the link can see it, and it may appear in public listings like “Trending pages.” Whether and how much to make public is always your decision, and you can switch it back to private anytime.

Information about family members (including minors)

Homeriah is designed for families to use together, so you may add photos and stories about other family members, including children. Please make sure you're authorized to do so -- for example, as a guardian, or with that person's consent. If you believe your own or your child's information was added inappropriately, contact us using the details below and we'll help resolve it.

Account deletion and data retention

You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings. When you do: your display name, avatar, and sign-in methods are removed and the account can no longer be used to sign in; any pages you created entirely on your own, with no other family member contributing, are deleted along with it. However, if you've added photos or stories to a page someone else created, that content is part of a shared family record -- to avoid affecting other family members, we keep that content, but your name is shown as “Deleted user.”

Cookies

We use a necessary sign-in session cookie, plus a cookie for counting public-page views (deduplicated over 24 hours, used to check whether a page has crossed a view-reward threshold). We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and private pages are restricted by a permissions system so only people you've invited can see them. That said, no system can guarantee absolute security -- please keep your password safe.

Your rights

You can view and edit your profile, delete pages or content you created, or delete your entire account at any time. If you need a data export or have another privacy-related request, please reach out at the email below.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to this policy, we'll update this page and note the new date. Check back occasionally.
